A longer narrative . . .
Lets start with High School and College. I grew up in the small town of Fairview, PA. While attending Fairview High School, I took many computer science courses, where I first learned what programming was all about. At the end of high school, I decided that Penn State Erie was a good fit for me to continue my education, and thus perused the continuation of my education there. I started off college with the expectations of working in the field of Computer Engineering but quickly learned that I special skills with programming languages. Switching over to Computer Science, I have since focused on expanding my programming skills, mostly consisting of C++ and Java. I completed courses that focused on using Java server pages, parsing XML files, displaying web content formatted with HTML5 and CSS, problem solving, and using SQL, with Microsoft Access and with Java. I also worked with Android in the development of mobile applications. I spent many years developing my object oriented programming skills, but also spent time learning the processes involved with service oriented programming.
From college I took the job I Currently hold a Oracle Corporation. At Oracle I have greatly expanded my knowledge of software testing and the development of web applications. I work in a development environment that uses agile development methods. I have taken the responsibility of learning new languages and technologies on the fly, learning almost everything I actively use on the job.
